Thank you for your interest in the AMMD. We are working hard each day to secure products for our patients. Our dispensary is required to purchase all cannabis products exclusively from Maryland licensed growers and processors. Many of the marijuana strains displayed on our website are under cultivation by Maryland licensed growers and are not currently available. Please check our Facebook page for our current inventory. Our Bud-Tenders will recommend the best in stock cannabis products for your conditions.
Flowers refers to the dried and cured calyxes harvested from the colas of the female plant and are the most familiar form of cannabis. Calyxes contain the majority of the resin production glands (trichomes) which produce the cannabinoids and terpenes. Flower strains are normally categorized by sub-species (sativa, indica or hybrid).
Vapes and Oils
Cannabis oil is extracted from the cannabis plant and contains numerous cannabinoids, including THC and CBD cannabinoids. This oil is incredibly concentrated, more so than the cannabis flower. Cannabis oil can be used to treat a number of conditions such as anxiety, multiple inflammatory diseases and more.
Concentrate is an umbrella term which refers to any product extracted from flowers into something cleaner and more potent. The term includes any type of: hash (water, pressed, or dry ice), kief, shatter, wax and oils (BHO, CO2, and rosin).
Concentrates are typically used one of two ways. Either vaporized through a water-pipe colloquially referred to as an “oil rig”, or through an electronic vaporization device (or “vape pen”).
Topicals are cannabis-infused lotions, salves, balms and other transdermal methods of delivery that are applied directly to the skin. Different topicals have different benefits depending on the way they are processed and the ingredients. Topical cannabis THC applications can be extremely helpful for localized pain and inflammation.
Cannabis wax refers to the softer, opaque oils that have lost their transparency after extraction. Unlike transparent oils, the molecules of cannabis wax crystallize and harden over time. Cannabis wax is extracted using cannabis buds and is known as Butane hash oil or BHO.
Cannabis oil pills offer an alternative consumption method for medical marijuana patients and can provide longer pain relief. These pills are often preferred by people who suffer from respiratory problems and are a safer way to get your THC and CBD dose.
